A rapidly growing UK based company was expanding its business operation into Europe. It had been established that the complex supply chain should be reviewed to determine VAT liabilities within the operation, and establish a suitable VAT Registration profile across Europe.

The client commissioned Accordance to provide a wide range of VAT services including the registration of various entities across Europe and the completion and submission of ongoing VAT Returns. These activities take advantage of both Accordance’s technical knowledge and multiple language capabilities.

Accordance also completes the business’s Intrastat documentation. Intrastat is the collection of data from all larger companies that trade across EU borders to enable countries to compile trade statistics. Intrastat completion is a legal requirement for many larger companies.

Accordance assists with the submission of EC Sales Lists; negotiates with the European VAT authorities to obtain speedy refunds of VAT due; and provides general consultancy for the client on the VAT implications arising from their EU expansion strategy.
