The reduced VAT rate in the Czech Republic increased from 10% to 14% from 1st January 2012.

This is to confirm that the amendment to the VAT Act which increases the reduced rate of VAT from 10% to 14% from 1st January 2012 has been enacted.

Czech Republic – Measures taken to unify VAT rates

The Czech Republic has announced the unification of VAT rates at 17.5% from 1st January 2013. Currently the standard rate of VAT is 20% and the reduced rate is 10%. In 2012 a reduced rate of 14% will continue to apply, however, it will be abolished from 1st January 2013.
